About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Inside Sales Engineer to join our growing sales team in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. In this role, you will be the bridge between our technical product capabilities and customer needs — managing inbound inquiries, supporting field sales teams, and ensuring timely follow-up on spare parts and service requests. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can effectively engage with customers across Hindi and English-speaking regions.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Engagement
• Handle inbound and outbound sales calls, emails, and inquiries from prospective and existing customers.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate products or solutions.
• Prepare and send quotations, proposals, and technical presentations to customers.
• Maintain and update the CRM with all customer interactions, pipeline status, and follow-up activities.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets as defined by the Sales Manager.
Sales Team Coordination
• Act as the primary coordination point between field sales engineers and internal teams (logistics, finance, technical support).
• Assist field sales team with order processing, pricing support, and documentation.
• Coordinate with the marketing team for lead generation campaigns and follow up on marketing qualified leads (MQLs).
• Prepare sales reports, weekly summaries, and pipeline dashboards for management review.
• Schedule and coordinate product demos, customer visits, and technical meetings.
Spare Parts Follow-Up
• Manage and track spare parts enquiries from customers and distributors.
• Coordinate with the warehouse and supply chain team for spare parts availability and dispatch timelines.
• Follow up proactively with customers on pending spare parts orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain a spare parts inquiry log and escalate delays to the concerned department promptly.
• Support after-sales service team with parts identification, pricing, and order fulfilment.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics preferred) or equivalent technical field.
• 2–5 years of experience in inside sales, technical sales, or customer service in a B2B environment.
• Proficiency in Hindi is mandatory (spoken and written); working knowledge of English is essential.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho, or similar).
• Basic understanding of mechanical/electrical products, spare parts, or industrial equipment is a plus.
